Ann was the very first Dog Trainer in Massachusetts to complete the FIRST EVER Training with Cesar workshop – with Cesar Millan. Prior to the course, Ann was an Affiliate Trainer of Cesar’s “Sessions with Cesar” online training course – a course where Cesar recommended combining real life training with his course for best results. Ann was one of the real life trainers recommended in that program.
Ann is a Certified Professional Trainer (Master Course), Aromatherapist and Herbalist. She is a proud consultant for Volhard Dog Nutrition – the BEST canine diet on the plant. In addition, Ann is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Test Evaluator, and an AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Evaluator.
Memberships include: International Association of Canine Professionals, Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and the National K-9 Dog Trainers Association.
Ann graduated from the world renowned National K-9 Learning Center, after completing the comprehensive Master Program. Training experiences have included the fine tuning of a small behavioral issue (stop jumping on the kitchen counter!) to more aggressive behavioral issues (food, toy, human, other dog). She has been called a miracle worker, a saint and “Auntie Ann” by her clients.
Ann is also a graduate of renowned trainer Robin MacFarlane’s E-cademy and is proficient in remote collar work. In addition to studying with Robin, Ann successfully completed Martin Deeley’s E-Touch Method as well as Chad Mackin’s Pack to Basics System workshops. Each Fall, Ann attends Wendy Vohlhard’s Annual Healthy Dog Conference in VA. LIFE CHANGING – for humans and dogs!
Ann’s Cape Cod companions (besides her soon to be 92 year old Mom!) include rescued Belgian Malinois gals Bella and Tia, as well Doberman Pinscher Diesel. Diesel is AKC Champion Doberman Pinscher. Both Bella and Diesel earned the prestigious Canine Good Citizenship Award from the AKC. Tia, our newest addition, is working toward her designation. Diesel and Ann also became a Certified Bed Bug Detection team and although they don’t do that work in the field, it was fun to train a new skill!
Ann prides herself on running a business that is near and dear to her heart. She truly love dogs, and wants them to succeed in their home. She is an honest trainer, who will deal with you fairly and not beat around the bush. She will not try to sell you services you don’t need, and doesn’t believe in the hard sell-you shouldn’t either! Ann has a great sense of humor, which really helps with those wild ones, but kindness and empathy are the qualities she holds that make all the difference .
